
John has a Masters in Applied Behavioral Science from the Leadership Institute of Seattle and is a Master Somatic Coach through Strozzi Institute. He enjoys blending insightful leadership models with high intensity learning experiences that reveal the physical, mental and emotional traits necessary for executives to thrive in today’s challenges.
As a senior faculty member at National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), John trained instructors to lead month long, high stakes, real world professional training expeditions and his work helped take the NOLS leadership curriculum to a new level, leading to NOLS signing NASA as a corporate client. He has led executives on learning expeditions in the Himalaya, Ecuador, Patagonia and on Mt Rainier.
In his personal life, John in an adventurer at heart and a passionate photographer. His adventures have ranged from photographing an Everest expedition to learning how to steward a ranch on Whidbey Island -- splitting firewood, planting trees, clearing trails, mending fences, tending beehives, and building things.
