Shelly joins the team on the administration side. Her focus is on communications and client engagement, providing support for office operations and online presence.
Shelly has lived on Whidbey Island for 25 years, raising two children and fully immersing herself into their education, as well volunteering for the public schools on the south end of the island. She was involved in the PTA for over 16 years. Her leadership there, as well as in other community organizations, has been a win-win for both her and her community. For example, she spear-headed the saving from development 40 acres of forestland near her home in order to maintain the trails that linked to the nearby community park.
She is currently the President of the South Whidbey Schools Foundation, and a member of the Greening Congregations Collaborative of South Whidbey. Both of these roles have provided her the opportunity to create websites, orchestrate fundraisers, and manage campaigns, both for organizations as well as at the grassroots/community level.
Formerly, Shelly was a Public Finance Analyst at a Seattle investment banking firm and has a BA in Economics from the University of Washington. Her passions include environmental protection, reducing plastic use, spiritual growth, sailing, walking in nature, cooking, and enjoying time with family and friends around the fire pit.
